Accountability Challenge - Week 28 - October 23, 2009

Hi everyone.

Still not working out but I am beginning to get the itch to start a new program. Partly because I am feeling good both in mind and body plus add that fact the scale number is rising.

I hope everyone else is getting that "lets get back to work" feeling again.

Good morning Rob and everyone else. This week was pretty good considering I was only able to perform cardio 2X. Weight was down 2.5lbs. I am finding it hard to get back in the groove. I am going to begin reading TBFS again to get my mind straight. A mild case of excusitis needs to be cured. Good Luck this week!

Hi Tim. Glad you are getting back into the swing of things. 2.5 pounds is impressive. Keep up the good work and I hope you find a cure for excusitis!

wOW INTERESTING :) I am also on the fresh start mind set, meaning read TBFS all over again and take the first baby steps. This morning when the alarm rang, I put it off and covered myself again, but then it struck me.. what the heck do you think you are doing Azeeza? That extra hour nap is going to leave you more tired!

Just the step of leaving the house was good for me! I did moderate cardio... and Tim is right, it IS difficult getting back into the groove. So much easier to form bad habits than it is to form good ones.

Good luck everyone

Lets take small steps :)

Hi all,

A little better for me this week. Hit most of my goals. Logged my food everyday except Saturday when we went out to a friend's house and I lost track of all nachos, chocolate and wine! Worked out five days of seven (and one of those days I was ill; still not lifting though) and totalled 3.5 hour. And even made some progress in the home office. Apparently, I have carpet! Who knew!!

Calories (excluding Saturday) averaged 1800 odd for the week, giving me a deficit of around 500, and this was reflected in a 1.5 pound loss and a drop in BF%. Still a couple of pounds above my pre-NY low, but heading in the right direction. Nutrition composition not great (56% carbs, 16% protein - just under 72g/day on average, and 27% fat. More importantly, I was short of RDAs etc on quite a few micronutrients. Still, one thing at a time.

I had planned to start lifting (NROL4W) again this week. Got it all set up last night, hopped on the treadmill to begin warming up, and then couldn't face getting off and squatting with 40kg on my back, so upped the speed and did intervals instead. So that was at least a positive thing - the first time since I went away, and I couldn't half tell the difference. Fitness was way down, but it's a start.

Goals for this week:

Nutrition: Back to basics mark II - aim for 7+ servings of F&V per day.
Exercise: Do at least two lifting sessions this week.
Lifestyle: File mine and my husband's tax returns for last year.
