Don't start the new job till Monday. Very excited.
I live 10 mins door to door to the airport. But you'd never know it. Leafy, green and quiet.
Maybe if you are in London, Rog and I could come down for the w/end or you could come visit.
Otherwise, you are still welcome to come and stay in October. It is probably best we don't Skype - you and I are a bad influence on each other!
I am still here - I check in a few times a week and always try to post a reply to that week's accountability challenge.
I am doing TT workouts and a 12 week TT transformation contest at the moment. Weight loss is slow but steady. Down around nineteen pounds on the beginning of the year.
Got that job - I think I told you about it. All confirmed and start on Monday!
What's new with you? Have you talked any sense into that trainer of yours yet? Are you still coming to the UK in October?
Havent heard from you in quite a while. Year is almost half way done and Im not reaching my goals. Any progress on your side?
Well, I just enjoy playing around. Life is short, so I believe in making it fun - and if you have to stick with a new lifestyle, you must develop a preference for it. That's my philosophy, anyway.
I work with nutrition and addictions (drugs, alcohol and food/ eating disorders), so I find a natural interest in figuring out what works for each individual when breaking a habit.
I have always been fascinated by addictions and how we can use our mind over matter, and in that process, how nutrition affects our brain chemistry - and ultimately our mind - and the way we deal with obstacles.
So, that is what brings me here.
I wish you a great Sunday!
All the best.
As for the fitness convention, it is the annual International Fitness Showcase held at Blackpool, not too far from Manchester. This will be my third year, and I am taking a friend who is not a fitness instructor but likes doing the classes and is thinking of getting a qualification for fun.
There are loads of rooms at the venue and they put on different stuff in all the rooms, from hi-energy aerobics workouts, spinning, yoga and pilates, lots of lectures and workshops etc. It is aimed at people working in teh industry and counts towards CPD. You can check out the brochure for this year's event here.
My schedule for tomorrow is:
1. Stott Pilates Reformer Jump Board workout
2. Lecture/workshop for people who want to get qualified in fitness, or are already qualified but not confident to practise (me)
3. Lecture on pilates for cancer patients.
4. Lecture on exercise prescription (for injuries or specific health conditions).
5. Lecture on managing appetite in weight loss programmes.
6. Gliding workout (always fancied giving it a try but have a feeling my thighs may never forgive me).
So two workouts and four lectures for me. It is a three day event but I am only going to the one day. In addition, there will be stands from some major suppliers and all the major training providers. Most of them offer convention discounts if you book or buy stuff there. You can get workout gear, fitness equipment, etc. It's quite good fun.
Having a day off from exercise. I've been so shattered, I'm worried that I'm overtraining and/or under-nutrient-ing for the training I am doing. I'm averaging over six hours a week, about 3 hours BFS, 30-60 mins pilates and the rest 'fun' cardio. And it is fun. It doesn't feel like work. But I've been having trouble staying awake at work. Like I said, guests for dinner tonight, then tomorrow I'm going to a fitness convention, so have taken a couple of days off training. This means missing one of my scheduled workouts. Or deferring it at least. Hard to let go.
How's the paperwork going?
