Good question. First I am simply going to clean up my nutrition. I was doing well for the first three months of the year just eating healthier, but I have gotten sloppy lately.

I am trying to incorporate more of Tom's Rules in BFS, concentrating at the moment on getting more veg in my day - I eat a lot of fruit but not so much veg.

If or when I need to tighten things up a bit more, I will probably turn to BFFM for fine tuning, but I am resisting the urge to follow a restrictive programme. I want to have a life NOW, not defer it until I am thin. And I am prepared to sacrifice more rapid weight loss to do it at a slower, more sustainable pace.

Yeah, I'm pretty similar. I know what I need to do, but don't do it. BFS really got through to me, although I see myself slipping a bit recently. I may have to start journalling my food again for a while if I can't control it.

TT is great. I'm a big fan of CB. Which workout are you doing at the moment?

Understanding body composition

I've just had a body composition analysis done, so now I have some starting stats. It seems I have a lean body mass of 59.3kg with a fat mass of 26.1kg - total weight 85.4kg at 175cm tall, giving me a BMI (I know that's not the best measure) of almost 28. My fitness score is 85 (out of a possible 100 points).

Now, I think that is OK, but a little overweight. I think this gives me a % bodyfat of 30.6.
