Hi Angie! My brother gave me a book on running to help me out. In the past I would do only about 2-3 min same as you. The books main thing is to go VERY SLOW, otherwise your legs and your lungs want to burst and I felt like this is so tough, I hate…

Hi Angie. good work on the TT and the inch of the chin up. I would love to be able to pull up my body weight too. I do not have a chin up bar - not likely to get one where I live. Oh well I'll work on the push ups - cant do those either, lol! Under…

I hope you felt better this week Rob. Good job to those of you losing weight Angie, Azeeza and Tim for hanging in there on vacation with all those good eats - that's tough! I was interviewing and taking tests over the last couple of weeks and misse…

Hi Tim! I like to use a food group diet. It makes it simple for me. The dr's office usually hands them out. They actually call them a diabetic diet plan. but they give them to you just to lose weight - I don't have diabetes. Anyhow you just pick fo…

Yes, my non-injury strategy involves prayer also. lol. but also, sticking to 3 interval sessions per week seems to be holding it at bay.

Good grief. Supermum!

The accountability forum is probably the best place for you. That way you get a few of us, not just one person. Rob starts a new one each Friday.

But feel free to post a comment or question any time.

I'm also hoping to go from walking to jogging. I set myself a 12-week goal to coincide with a Turbulence Training contest I am doing. That involves intervals on 3 days, and I was going to devote one of my off-days to building up to a 5K. I'm in week 5 at the moment and am so concerned about my knees that I have just stuck to the intervals for now. Maybe as I lose a bit more weight, I will try some additional running. Good luck with your goals. And economics.

Hi Jo Anne. Just start posting anything. The good, the bad it doesn't matter. We are all here because we read the book and have the same goal in mind... to lose fat and get fit and stay healthy.

Hi Jo Anne,

Welcome to the site.

Yes, we're a friendly bunch here. Rob initiated a weekly accountability page where we all (three of us at least!) check in each week with our progress and problems, but you can post a question any time.

What are you actually looking for in your accountability partner?
