Nothing good to report. The past couple of weeks have really sucked. I have now been given the ok to resume with my workouts since the knee surgery. Starting back at it tomorrow. Can't wait to get things rolling again and get rid of this nasty fat...

Hi Larry,

I was just thinking about you today! How's the knee feeling?

It occurred to me (as a knee surgery survivor myself) that you may have a tendency during recovery or even afterwards to favour your good knee. This will have a knock on effect on your posture and exacerbate any existing problems.

Presumably you are having rehab/physio for your knee - ask them to teach you Mackenzie Exercises (the ones from that book I told you about for your back). It is rare for someone to go from perfect back health to lying on the floor crying for their mommy - usually there are warning signs in the preceding weeks or months, which is I think what you were experiencing, based on your description. If you take note now, you may be able to avoid the worst. Learn the Mackenzie Exercises to do at first sign of twinges like you had last time. And when your knee is rehabbed, take the trouble to find yourself a good pilates teacher - learning correct alignment and movement patterns will be even more important to you now.

Did you have any luck with the book? If not, suggest ordering it from Amazon. Go for fast delivery. And make sure you get the one by Robin McKenzie. He has become synonymous with the technique and the exercises are now known as McKenzie exercises. My GP (family doctor) now has a copy of this book on her desk! It is THE ONE.

Glad to hear you are doing well and making progress Larry. It's still a bit of fits and starts for me. I haven't re-steadied myself back in to my program but will do soon ;-) .

BFFM

Yesterday I received a copy of the ebook BFFM. Started reading it emmediatly and so far I have learned things I was not aware of. I am now ready to kick up the pace and get this excess fat off for good. Know it will be a difficult journey. But also know good things come through hard and dedicated work. Have gotten a weight and cardio progarm set up that I think will do the job. In 12 weeks I will see and hopfully be amazed at the results.
