You're halfway to goal? Wow that's fantastic. Well done.
I am still here - I check in a few times a week and always try to post a reply to that week's accountability challenge.
I am doing TT workouts and a 12 week TT transformation contest at the moment. Weight loss is slow but steady. Down around nineteen pounds on the beginning of the year.
Got that job - I think I told you about it. All confirmed and start on Monday!
What's new with you? Have you talked any sense into that trainer of yours yet? Are you still coming to the UK in October?
Hi Nila, Thanks for the info about the spammer. Did not know thisa was going on. I guess they will use anysite to get at people. Hope you are doing well, and are meeting your desired results. I think I have finally found the proper tool to do this. I am having steady decreases weekly in my body fat and measurments. The weight stays around the same but beleive and hoping this is do to muscle growth. Have a great day, Larry
Hi there,
Well, I just enjoy playing around. Life is short, so I believe in making it fun - and if you have to stick with a new lifestyle, you must develop a preference for it. That's my philosophy, anyway.
I work with nutrition and addictions (drugs, alcohol and food/ eating disorders), so I find a natural interest in figuring out what works for each individual when breaking a habit.
I have always been fascinated by addictions and how we can use our mind over matter, and in that process, how nutrition affects our brain chemistry - and ultimately our mind - and the way we deal with obstacles.
So, that is what brings me here.
I wish you a great Sunday!
All the best.
My only must-do-as-a-minimum workouts are my BFS weights and intervals. I try to do a bit of pilates now and again to stay one step ahead of my students! As for the other stuff, I have just found stuff I enjoy doing. I've been having fun. It hasn't been a chore. The BFS stuff is a chore, but is the basis of my body transformation. The other stuff I've been doing because I like it and because I can. I feel good when I do it (a first for me), it's like a reward for doing the boring BFS stuff. I don't feel like I'm working too hard, and am not sure that I am. I've just been a bit tired at work, and that could be a sign of overtraining. It could also be that I'm coming down with something, or that I've just not been sleeping very well. In any of these cases, a couple of days off won't do me any harm.
As for the fitness convention, it is the annual International Fitness Showcase held at Blackpool, not too far from Manchester. This will be my third year, and I am taking a friend who is not a fitness instructor but likes doing the classes and is thinking of getting a qualification for fun.
There are loads of rooms at the venue and they put on different stuff in all the rooms, from hi-energy aerobics workouts, spinning, yoga and pilates, lots of lectures and workshops etc. It is aimed at people working in teh industry and counts towards CPD. You can check out the brochure for this year's event here.
My schedule for tomorrow is:
1. Stott Pilates Reformer Jump Board workout
2. Lecture/workshop for people who want to get qualified in fitness, or are already qualified but not confident to practise (me)
3. Lecture on pilates for cancer patients.
4. Lecture on exercise prescription (for injuries or specific health conditions).
5. Lecture on managing appetite in weight loss programmes.
6. Gliding workout (always fancied giving it a try but have a feeling my thighs may never forgive me).
So two workouts and four lectures for me. It is a three day event but I am only going to the one day. In addition, there will be stands from some major suppliers and all the major training providers. Most of them offer convention discounts if you book or buy stuff there. You can get workout gear, fitness equipment, etc. It's quite good fun.
You've inspired me. I'm sorting through papers. Also, we have guests for dinner so everything had to be moved off the pool table and sorted into shred, recycle or file. Done the shredding and recycling. I won't be able to use my home gym until I've done a bit more filing though!
Having a day off from exercise. I've been so shattered, I'm worried that I'm overtraining and/or under-nutrient-ing for the training I am doing. I'm averaging over six hours a week, about 3 hours BFS, 30-60 mins pilates and the rest 'fun' cardio. And it is fun. It doesn't feel like work. But I've been having trouble staying awake at work. Like I said, guests for dinner tonight, then tomorrow I'm going to a fitness convention, so have taken a couple of days off training. This means missing one of my scheduled workouts. Or deferring it at least. Hard to let go.
I still have stuff in boxes at my mum's from when we moved here three years ago! I should just throw it all out without opening it. But I don't think I'm strong enough.
I've just put my mum through her first ever super duper elementary level TT workout! She moaned and complained all the way through, but she did it! This may be the start of a beautiful relationship.
As for me, I just did BFS phase 2 resistance workout 4 of 12. I bicep curled 3 x 10 reps with 7 kg. My biceps HURT. Glad it's over with though. And before midnight, too!
Inbox? What's an inbox? Oh, you mean that space where the carpet used to be! LOL.
It's going to be so great to meet you. Even my mum wants to meet you? The offer for accommodation still stands by the way. It be great to have you here. You can check out my new weights. And my home gym should have expanded by then. Am I talking you out of it yet??
I couldn't sleep this morning so I did my intervals at 6.30am! I am NOT a morning person, but it was nice to get my scheduled workout over with at the beginning of the day. I have just done some bonus stuff on the Wii Fit: 20 mins Wii aerobics (step and boxing) and 10 mins Wii Yoga.

Don't start the new job till Monday. Very excited.
I live 10 mins door to door to the airport. But you'd never know it. Leafy, green and quiet.
Maybe if you are in London, Rog and I could come down for the w/end or you could come visit.
Otherwise, you are still welcome to come and stay in October. It is probably best we don't Skype - you and I are a bad influence on each other!

How was your day today otherwise?
